Farmers’ learning and understanding: An inventory of selected Sufosec learning models and tools for Agroecology (EN)

The Learning Group on Agroecology of the Sufosec Alliance developed an inventory on selected learning models and tools for agroecology that emerged after the first series of webinars organized by Sufosec on the adoption of agroecology. The inventory reveals that there is no one-size fits all approach for successful learning on agroecological practices. One major common insight is that learning approaches that are impactful do put farmers’ needs and existing knowledge in the center of attention and build up from there. Most effective is a mix of approaches and tools that allow farmers to experiment, to benefit of farmer-to-farmer exchanges and to learn by testing and seeing. Good facilitation is key for co-creation of knowledge and learning on agroecology!
