In 2022, the Hydro Empowerment Network (HPNET) launched the Social Enterprise for Energy, Ecological and Economic Development (SEEED) initiative, which comprises a series of learning opportunities to unlock the full potential of hydro mini-grid practitioners and communities in different regions.
In partnership with ACEPESA and HABITAR, we have successfully completed another round of virtual training on sustainable solid waste management in Managua, Nicaragua.
Skat Foundation, in collaboration with the WASH Alliance International and the Swiss Water and Sanitation Consortium, just completed a series of WASH webinars in Nepal.
In 2021, Skat Foundation and partners successfully implemented 3 editions of the practical-theoretical course on Sustainable Waste Management. The participatory trainings comprised 3 synchronous online modules, with practical exercises in between components.
A third edition of the Sustainable Solid Waste Management course was successfully completed in Bolivia, in partnership with Helvetas, Bolivia. Comprising synchronous virtual sessions and practical field activities, the course strengthened the participating municipalities in good waste management practices.
Skat Foundation is happy to announce the launch of a report and video showcasing six impact stories from our online courses on professional drilling management. From institutional adjustments to drilling practices of WaterAid globally, to enhanced well performance and improved practices, the stories provide an insight on how the online trainings impacted people and organisations involved.
As part of the second phase of the Renewable Energies in Afghanistan project, Skat Foundation ran a Renewable Energy Scouts Training of Trainers (RE Scouts ToT) in 2022. The program equipped 25 entry- and mid-level Afghan professionals in the energy sector with the skills and knowledge to become RE trainers themselves.
