Another round of training on sustainable waste management successfully completed in Managua, Nicaragua

In partnership with ACEPESA and HABITAR, we have successfully completed another round of virtual training on sustainable solid waste management in Managua, Nicaragua. The course, which ran from May to August 2021, enabled participants to:

  • Strengthen their knowledge on integrated management of municipal and special solid waste;
  • Learn how to apply the systemic thinking approach to their planning;
  • Document key elements of the current situation in their context.

A total of 27 officials (33% women) participated in the training: 24 of the municipality of Managua and 3 of EMTRIDES, a local company for waste disposal and sanitation services. The feedback received from the participants was great and we are excited to see that knowledge being put into practice.
