Dr. Angelica Wehrli

Dr. Angelica Wehrli is the Managing Director of Skat Foundation, where she oversees the foundation’s management and operations with a keen focus on its strategic direction and impact.

She has more than 25 years of expertise in international cooperation, project management, fundraising, committee work, and knowledge management. Dr. Angelica Wehrli has worked with a wide range of international and bilateral organizations, including the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Swiss Red Cross, numerous universities, as well as international and national NGOs.

Dr. Angelica Wehrli has lived and worked across Latin America, Asia, and Africa for over five years, gaining profound insights into the unique cultural dynamics and challenges of these regions. She now brings this depth of understanding to her work at Skat Foundation, harnessing it to address global issues with local nuance.

Drawing on her strengths in research, networks and knowledge management, Dr. Angelica Wehrli specializes in process management, strategic planning and organizational learning. She is also an experienced facilitator of workshops and participatory processes. Over the past 20 years, she has led international and interdisciplinary teams, fostered collaboration and chaired various governance bodies.

Dr. Angelica Wehrli is also a social anthropologist and teaches Cultures as a private lecturer at the University of St. Gallen (HSG). She has extensive expertise in topics related to gender, economic anthropology, equality and health, education, the informal and formal sectors, sustainability, and public policy.
